Hansik YoungSpicy Korean fermented paste
koreanische Chilipaste
Gochujang is a Korean chili paste with heat, sweetness, and fermented depth. It is one of the most useful Korean pantry ingredients for quick sauces, marinades, and stews.

There are also many variations of gochujang (Korean chili paste), such as mild or spicy. The gochujang sold in Germany is usually the mild version, intended for export to Europe. There are several brands of gochujang, but in Korea, "Haechandle" and "Chung Jung One" are particularly well-known. These brands are also easy to find at Go Asia or on Amazon
Gochujang is difficult to replace exactly. For a quick workaround, mix miso paste with chili, sugar, and soy sauce, but the flavor will not be identical.
You can usually find Gochujang in Asian grocery stores, Korean online shops, or larger supermarkets with a good Asian food section.
